Gallery on Waymouth has NUMSKULL "Strange as Fiction" solo show @ 6pm. A collection of new work on canvas http://www.funskull.com/

Numskull is a Sydney based artist, who's bold work has become a favourite on the street and in the gallery for its epic mashes of text, pop iconography and stencil figures. Often quite nonsensical, his work mashes together images which explore love, hate, mystery, fantasy and false heroes that dominate the airspace via advertising. Having grown up on a diet of graffiti, comics and cartoons, Numskull draws from this and a love of sign-painting to create original, humorous and often controversial pieces using screenprint, stencils and paintbrush.

Having no formal art education or training, Numskull's style and practice has evolved through experimentation and his involvement in the street art and graffiti culture. A short and somewhat frustrating involvement in the advertising world also led him to see and explore his surroundings in a different light.
